I am a child of my times having been profoundly influenced and shaped by the time period in which I have lived. Each of us, in our own individual way, are part of a much larger societal structure, although it is very human to think of ourselves as completely unique, few of us are raised completely in a vacuum untouched by the course of history – Elizabeth Resnick.

Elizabeth Resnick is a Professor of Graphic Design at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Boston, Massachusetts USA. She earned her B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, Rhode Island. Professor Resnick served on the chapter board of AIGA Boston from 1989–2005 organizing numerous public events. From 2003–2005 she served on the AIGA National Design Education Steering Committee. In 2007 she was honored with AIGA Boston’s Fellows Award in recognition for her service to her community.

Besides her full-time teaching schedule, Resnick is currently writing a book entitled, The Social Design Reader for Bloomsbury Academic and opened an exhibition, Women’s Rights are Human Rights, in Boston in September 2016.  She will also be featured in an exhibition at the Warsaw Poster Museum, April to June 2017.
