How did you end up in Colorado? I have lived here since I was 2, so officially I’m not a native but Colorado is my home state. There has never been a compelling reason to leave: Coloradans are healthy, active and engaged, and our quality of life is simply outstanding.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job? Helping clients succeed! They seek my help when they’re struggling with something, usually for concepting a new product or improving existing assets…situations that require flexibility and cross-discipline experience. I love solving problems.
Why did you get involved in ADCD? The Friday Afternoon Clubs and Mixers were a draw for me, such a great way to see different studios and celebrate the breadth of creativity around the metro area. I was surprised by the diversity of the club’s members – photographers, artists, web designers, filmmakers, illustrators – and I felt very welcomed. Over the years, ADCD has been steered by amazingly talented people who care deeply about the community and I couldn’t resist being part of that team.
Favorite Denver Establishment? The constant evolution of the Denver-Boulder region is energizing, it’s an ongoing treasure hunt. But I’d have to say Belmar – it’s a wonderful gathering spot to meet with clients, family and friends! Growing up on the West Side we always had to go downtown for fun, so it’s great that Lakewood finally has a place of its own.
